Sian Evans qualified from The College of Traditional Acupuncture (CTA) Hatton with a BA (Hons) Degree and a Licensed to practise Acupuncture completing 3 years of full time study . The oldest college in Europe until its closure in 2012. She went on to spend six months treating outpatients and staff at Myton Hospice and now treats from her clinic in Stratford upon Avon.
Since April 2018 Sian has worked as a Clinical Supervisor for the Acupuncture Academy, Leamington Spa. The role includes supervising third year clinical students treat their own patients, advising on diagnosis, treatment planning and successful completion of assessments. Although Sian treats a variety of conditions she has a keen interest in fertility and the positive affects acupuncture can have on medically assisted fertility treatments such as IVF and IUI. Since 2013 Sian has had great success rates with many Acubabies!
Sian keeps her skills up to date, completing many hours a year of CPD. The majority is furthering her knowledge in the different forms Acupuncture but also subjects that are of interest such as Tung, Auricular, Fertility, Facial Acupuncture and treating pain.
Most recently Sian completed a MASCED Accreditation. The Masced acceditation programme has been developed by national melanoma and skin cancer charity, SKCIN. The Objective of the Scheme is to significantly raise awareness of the early signs and symptoms of skin cancer and to promote early signs and symptoms of melanoma, to improve prognosis and save lives.
Sian Evans Acupuncture is fully registered with the British Acupuncture Council and also registered on the Aviva database of healthcare practitioners.
